The Beaches of Paia

One of the best things about Paia is its beaches. Whether you’re looking to catch some waves or just soak up the sun, you’ll find the perfect spot in Paia. Some of our favorites include Ho’okipa Beach Park, Baldwin Beach Park, and Mama’s Beach.  Keep in mind that the waves and reefs on this side of the island are for advanced surfers only!  Also, the North Shore of Maui tends to get hit by wind pretty quickly each day.

Paia Town Beaches

If you do happen to get a calm day, count your blessings because you’ll likely have a big piece of sand to yourself.  Paia beaches are far less crowded than south or west Maui beaches.

If you’re looking for some good eats, Paia won’t disappoint. From Hawaiian-style Plate Lunches to world-famous shave ice, there’s something for everyone in this town. Some of our top picks include Mana Foods (the deli at this busy grocer is pretty epic), Cafe Des Amis (try the lentil crepe), and Cafe Mambo (the duck fajitas are on point!)

Paia Town Food & Drink

If you can get a seat somewhere with a view of the street, you’ll get even more of a treat.  This little hippie, windsurfer town is famous for people-watching.  Paia attracts all walks of life.
